The
worlds first entertainment Console... 1998 - 2000
The
DJ and karaoke markets have steadily grown over the years and
the time was right for Studiomaster to enter this segment. True
to form instead of going with the flow of the many other mixer
products, a new approach was taken. The first ever Entertainment
Console emerged called the Fusion. A
name that described well the mix of studio quality mic inputs,
high quality CD/phono inputs with opto-coupled cross fader and
an on-board DSP for great vocal effects. An astounding combination
thats still in demand today. A console not out of place in a large
club installation and just at home in a small pub karaoke.
With
the global success of the powered mixer range it was time to expand
the range this time with much smaller products. A 6 channel 200
Watt model, an 8 channel 200+200 Watt model and the flag ship
8 channel 200+200 Watt with on board DSP for echo and reverb effects
- The PowerPack range. They suited the educational,
AV and small PA requirements perfectly being robustly constructed
and competitively priced.
The
next two years saw a total revamp of the product range giving
a new look to each product. The amplifier range changed from
the D series to the E series giving enhanced
2ohm operation and also adding an extra model, the 600E.
Another area of innovation came in the form of the 162BP
sixteen channel mic/line mixer that rack mounted. Generally,
a mixer with 16 mic channels would use nearly twice the panel
size of the 162BP so making it the ideal solution
in small clubs and conference applications. Its flexibility
also allowed the possibility of live recordings using the direct
outputs on each channel.
