This is the latest rack mixer from Studiomaster featuring 16 channels
and a custom DSP effects processor. All input and output connectors
are located on the rear panel leaving controls and faders uncluttered
by cables and reducing overall size to 6 rack spaces (266mm).
12 mic channels feature phantom power, 3 band EQ with mid sweep,
insert, two auxiliaries and 60mm fader. The 4 stereo channels
also have mic inputs which can be used simultaneously giving a
total of 28 inputs. The direct outputs on the first 12 channels
are ideal for live recording and the main stereo output has additional
connections for 2 track record and playback.
Whilst
most manufacturers tend to offer hundreds of (mainly unusable)
effects in their processors, Studiomaster have kept it simple
by providing a total of 12. Three are special Vocal sounds, an
ADT (automatic double tracking) effect and small & large reverbs.
Six preset delays with a range from 100ms to 720ms are also included.
They are confident the user will quickly find an effect they are
happy with allowing them to get on with the performance and not
searching through reverb menus.
The
internally modular construction means individual circuit boards
are used throughout and all controls securely bolted to the front
panel making the 162BPX a tough, reliable easy to service mixer.
Aimed at club and venue installation the flexibility of the 162BPX
will also appeal to small bands and keyboard mixing.
