Studiomaster and Carlsbro are both showing brand new product at Music China. The two companies are exhibiting on a 154 m2 stand with Chinese distributor Highsun Sound and showing new Studiomaster portable mixers and active PA cabinets and the amazing new, Carlsbro APEX tube head – making its debut trade exhibition appearance.
The new Studiomaster Club XS is a series of price / specification competitive portable mixers. Two models, the XS8 and XS10, feature onboard FX, integrated USB / SD card stereo media player, 60 mm faders, balanced XLR outputs, control room output, two sends and a stereo return. All mic input channels have 3-band EQ, hi-pass filter and built in compressor. Line input channels feature 2-band EQ; all channels feature channel mute and two Aux controls. The XS8 has four mic and two stereo inputs, and the XS10, six mic and two stereo inputs. An internal super-quite switched-mode power supply and phantom power on all mic inputs also feature. The Club XS is aimed at gigging musicians, sub-mixing, small venue install, corporate and other enterprise applications.
DRIVE is a new series of 2-way, active portable injection-moulded PA cabinets, and a best-in-class, more competitively specified replacement for the highly popular Studiomaster VPX and VSX series cabs. Improved specifications include exemplary weight-to-power/SPL ratios, with the DRIVE 4A 12 inch and DRIVE 6A 15 inch models both rated 310W RMS class-D power. Rear mounted input panel includes mic and line inputs, 3-band EQ and gain and level controls, with a balanced link output. Passive variants of both models are rated at 500W and 600W continual program power, and all models are fitted with five M10 lying points and side and top handles.
Studiomaster is also exhibiting the new Starlight and Venture series cabinets as well as S3 series class-D self powered PA, new Horizon powered and passive mixer series, and the C6 series portable mixers.
